“Known as Princess of Hill Stations” Kodaikanal has been one of the most visited hill stations in India. You can visit the lake only after you acquire special permission from the forest officer as the administrators try and keep the lake and the areas nearby to it free from pollution. If lucky, one could spot deers, bisons and panthers nearby the lake. The entry to the Berijam Lake is restricted from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm. Medicine forests, near the lake is known to have certain species of trees that emits fragrances which causes hallucinations effects on human beings
